Strength and conditioning should not be defined by individual exercises, but by the adaptations they are designed to produce.
This workshop explores how strength, power, speed and neuromuscular qualities can be developed within the specific constraints of football. Participants will learn how to move from identifying a physical requirement to selecting the appropriate training method, exercise, intensity and progression to create the desired adaptation.
A strong emphasis will be placed on integrating gym-based and field-based physical development within the wider football training process.
The workshop will cover:
• Physical Qualities Underpinning Football Performance
• Strength Development: From Fundamentals to Advanced Methods
• Exercise Selection & Training Variable Manipulation
• Neuromuscular Profiling & Individualized Training
• Integrating Strength & Conditioning Within the Football Microcycle
